Milk and Cookies for Santa

If you take a Mommy to the mall...she might wander in Old Navy to look for socks...and while she's looking for socks she might spy a cute little Santa outfit on sale...and since it's on sale, she might buy the outfit for her little boy...and when he wears it the next day she might be inclined to get out the camera again...and since it is a Santa outfit, the little boy might need some milk and cookies to go with it...

Look at that tummy...or should we call it the "cookie holder"?

A funny thing... the next day when I told Peanut it was time for lunch he looked at me and said "Cookies?"  I said "No, we are going to eat lunch first".  He ran and got the hat and put it on and said "Hat Cookies?"  And if your little boy puts on a Santa hat...he may just need some cookies to go with it.  Smile.

Gingerbread Fun

Monday we started the week off right, with a party!  Our friends Cory and Rocco hosted a make-a-gingerbread house party at their home and we were so happy to be invited.  We have a great little play group that we enjoy so much.  These kids know how to have a good time, and so do their mamas.

Cory had us all set up with a frame and some yummy frosting to attach our decor...
She even baked different shapes to adorn the houses.  She is a really good baker and always has some home baked goods for us to enjoy.
Lots of candy to decorate!

Rocco's great grandma joined us and made a house too.  It was so nice to get to know her better and she treated us all to pizza for lunch!  Hospitality runs in the family.  Smile
  Mouths full of frosting!
After the kids wandered off to play the moms continued to eat...I mean work.
Peanut's house.  The front was a little fancier because I helped, but I actually like this side the best because he did it.  Good job little man.

We had a present exchange and it was so fun to watch the kids open packages and help each other.

Thank you Cory and  Rocco for a great party and wonderful memories.
Hope you are having fun with friends this holiday.  Have a great one friends and family!

Christmas Photos

Peanut decided this year that he did not want to take a picture with Santa.  That is perfectly ok with me.  We just got out some lights and a blanket and had our own little holiday photo session one night at home.  I like the way they turned out and most importantly we had fun.  No long lines to wait in, fees to pay, crying kids, or scary guys in weird suits.  We had the Christmas tunes playing and Mommy craft services provided a spread of fruit and cereal for model and photographer.  The photographer was in her jammies and the model wasn't wearing shoes, but again, that's the beauty of an at-home photo session.  So here are Peanut's official, unprofessional,, unSanta'd, Christmas portraits:
 Fun on the set. Smile.

Love this one because it looks like he might be hiding a mishievious smile!

More fun on the set. More Smiles.
The last two are Best's favorites.

 Merry Christmas.
Hope you are doing things that make you happy!

Snow

We got some snow this weekend...
Peanut loves to watch the snow plow.  They had a big job to do at the store next door.  I love living next door to the store and so does Peanut.  A little action  to watch from the window always makes things interesting.

 In other holiday news...
The countdown is on!  Peanut is having fun with his advent calendar this year, collecting letters to put on the fridge.

He takes such good care of his baby.  I think maybe Santa will have a present for baby too!
Maybe "Biba" needs a snack too?
Fun times at McDonalds. Always the perfect stop after story time.

I call this next one "Hiding from Ronald".  He showed up (6 foot tall, floppy shoed, and red wigged)and Peanut about had a heart attack.  He was very nice and just waved and went about his way.  Hopefully his next stop included children who were happy to see him.
Yesterday Peanut had a visitor when he woke up from his nap!
Who are you waving to Peanut?

Hope you have a happy surprise this week too.
Have a great one friends and family!
