Soakin' Up Summer

We have been going all summer.  I thought with a baby in tow now we might slow down a bit but it seems quite the opposite.  Seriously.  Don't come by the house to see us, we aren't there.  We are at the splash pad, the park, the zoo, or possibly a county fair. Sister has proven that she can keep up and by the sparkle in her eyes as she watches Peanut run I know that she is just planning her moves for next summer...she's gonna give him a run for his money.

The Splashpads

I've had so much fun with these two this summer.  I love to see Peanut sopping wet yelling at the top of his lungs and Sister watching and laughing.  The car rides home are quiet and they both sleep well at night.  So do I. Smile.

Have a great week friends and family.

Swimming Lessons

Last week was swimming lessons at the local pool.  Peanut has had swimming lessons before, but this was the first time outside at our local pool where I was not in the water with him.  Big Boy!
He was so happy and volunteered for everything!  Here he is taking a turn tossing the rings.

Both of the instructors were great, but Peanut was partial to the boy here.  He is a guys guy.
Last day was "jumping" off the diving board.  Peanut was scared and ended up having to be lowered into the water from one teacher to the other, but we're gonna count it.  Smile.
I asked him later how he felt when he was up there and he said, "A little bit angry at you".  Perplexed I asked why.  He said, "Because I wanted you to get me down from there!"  Ha!  Well, I know it was scary, but I was so proud of him and he did end up in the water and I think pretty proud of himself.  He graduated and can try level one next summer.  Good job Peanut!
Hope you are putting on your brave face and taking the plunge! Have a great week friends and family.

Summer at the swimmin' hole

Peanut had swimming lessons last week and the weather was so nice that twice we just packed our lunch and headed over to the beach afterwards.  Peanut loves to dine al fresco and I have a feeling Sister will too.  She is very interested in everything her big brother does!
The weather was great and he had so much fun sailing his little boat.
and finding shells in the sand.
The water was cool.  I did get in up to my knees.  Maybe next summer I will be in with Sister!

There was a nice breeze and Sister had a great nap in the shade.
Hope you're enjoying your summer and getting your feet wet!
Have a great week friends and family.
