Last Saturday Best had an interview on the radio and Peanut and I listened in the nursery. I kept trying to get him to pay attention to his Daddy's voice but he was busy playing...
Then, all of the sudden, toward the end of the interview... He got the funniest look on his face, squealed, and crawled over and pulled up by the radio. I think he recognized Daddy's voice!
Please don't be jealous of our fancy radio...we can afford these things now that Daddy's made it big on the airwaves....
We are sad to miss our usual class and open gym this week. Hoping we can rally for story time at the library tomorrow. So, to liven things up a little we played dress up. Doesn't this just make you crave Chick fil A?
We did leave the house once today. We bundled up, got in the car, and went all the way to the store next door to get the following:
ONE GIANT BLUE BALL. Smile.
My sweet boy is resting now. I am hoping his little body is healing itself as I type these words. He is such a little trooper. This is the first time he has ever been sick. I am so thankful that I can be with him. I am thankful for the kind doctor that examined him, calmed my fears, and gave us a prescription for some gooey pink stuff that Peanut just thinks is the yummiest ever. I am thankful that we have a warm house to relax in. I am thankful that we have comfy beds in which to sleep and let our bodies mend. I am thankful for a husband that takes over errands and brings soup. In spite of being sick, I have so many things to be thankful for. But most of all I am thankful for this little boy and that something as simple as a big blue ball can make him smile.
