Thankful

So much to be thankful for this year...as always.  My two crazy guys in there Movember staches...

...all of the family who joined  us to celebrate the holiday in our new home
...the turkey that turned out beautifully thanks to the Sandra Lee recipe that included 3 sticks of butter!

 ...enjoying great food together

and Peanut was especially thankful for the early Christmas present he received from his Gammie and Papa who will be with Best's sister for Christmas this year.
Papa and Peanut did a good job of sharing the controls...smile
...ending the evening with some chocolate pie.
So thankful to be a part of this family and excited that we are growing!
I am thankful for all of you reading this...Mom, Dad, Grandma and the rest of you.   Have a great week and I hope your holiday season is off to a great start!

November Happenings

Hard to believe that he will be 2 1/2 in about 2 weeks!  Here are just a few of the things he's into these days...
We are still loving our new house and taking advantage of all the space.  Best and I have both had our friends over...separate occasions: crocheting and a hockey game.  Not too hard to figure out who hosted which activity there!  And lots of family time too.  We taught Peanut to play twister and after a few rounds he decided he liked being the spinner the best.  It's all about control at this age you know!

Peanut has hosted the most parties though... here are some friends enjoying a brunch/playdate last Saturday.

Peanut is working hard on his letters and now can identify every one.  I decorated his chalkboard to celebrate this, but of course we use a more traditional font when we practice...smile.
He loves loves loves his baby.  He talks to the baby all the time and often asks me to lie down so he can talk into the "microphone" which is what he calls my bellybutton.  He hugs, kisses and tickles the baby and even sings the Zamboni song to it.  He is already a great big brother.

The next two pics are just from a previous weekend family trip to Jumps n Downs.  It's always a good time there for the whole family...although these days I am letting Best be the one to climb into the bouncers.  He is such a good sport!

Have a great week and a happy Thanksgiving friends and family!
