Obsession

 

 

This is probably not earth shattering news, but our little Peanut has become absolutely OBSESSED with hockey! In fact, I hear him in the morning talking about "go-wie" and "be-bowie" (Zambonie) in his crib. Maybe because I let him sleep with his favorite hockey book? When he gets up the first thing he does (after a mandatory freshen up), is to run put his hockey nets in position.

 He always wants Best and me to put on the "hel-me" and Best usually obliges.  I have a rule.  I will wear it if my hair is not freshly washed...smile.

 But not to fear, he still takes time out to enjoy a few of the other finer things in life:

Bookworm

 

Peanut was 18 months on Dec. 9.  He is so funny and lively at this age and I don't think he could get any cuter.  He loves to sing his ABC's, and I was so proud when he sang them on Skype to Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Chuck! He loves to video chat with them and goes to the computer and asks "E-I-E-I-O?" They sing Old MacDonald to him and he has definately made the connection. :-) His version of the ABC's includes at least 7 or 8 letters repeated and a unique version of the "sing with me" chorus.  I love it and must get a recording soon.  My favorite is when I catch him softly singing it to himself.

We got this stuffed aligator on our honeymoon along with a children's book for our "future children".  Just a dream come true to see him hold it.  I get sappy about this stuff you know...smile.

 He continues to love to read and big books are so much fun.  He loves to name the objects and big pages filled lots of pictures and words.

 He is turning into such a big boy but I cherish these sweet moments when he is a little sleepy and just wants his "Buddy".
