One-derful!

I'm tearful and joyful all at the  same time.  Where did my baby go?  It really did go very quickly!  But as much as I loved swaddling that sweet little bundle, I know now from experience that there are some really fun times ahead.  She has already hit some big milestones: crawling, walking, first word, first molar, etc. and it has been so much fun to watch her revel in her accomplishments.
Do a little birthday dance!
Not sure what she's doing here but it looks like "Gotcha!"
We had a little party at home for "Little Miss" (that's what Peanut's been calling her lately) and it was really fun.  I made her a bunny cake just like my mom made me about 30 years ago.  It brought back good memories for both she and I who share little red headed Spring babies.  Smile.
Pre-cake.
Underneath this "wrapping" are her gifts.  We got her an easel and a baby doll and shopping cart.  Peanut was so excited to write the Birthday message on the easel and the baby doll was from him.
She loves pushing that baby around!
YUM!
Face plant, ha! ...it was good.

Our angel.  She is so precious and I just love how she snuggles right into my neck and hugs me tight when I hold her.  I could spend every minute of every day with her and it still wouldn't be enough time.  She is loved by her Daddy and Brother so much.  She is our Little Miss and the perfect addition to our little family.  Happy Birthday Bree!  Here's to many more years of celebrating love and laughter with you. XOXO Mommy

Hello Sunshine!

We've had a taste of Spring this past week and we are really taking advantage of it!  I know that there is a chance it will get cold again, maybe even snow, but I am pushing those thoughts out of my head and drinking in the sunshine and warmth with my babies and my Best friend.  These are pictures from this past week, but as I type tonight my belly is full from the delicious fajitas Best grilled for us.  It was so fun and relaxing as we listened to music on the deck and watched the kids play.  Peanut shooting his foam rocket in the air and Sister digging in the sandbox for the first time.  She is really playing with all of the toys now and Best and I were laughing at how we notice a mix of excitement and nervousness from Peanut.  Excitement that he has a new playmate and nervousness that she is touching "his" stuff.  He is quick to meet her with a toy of his choosing if she is on the path to something he is "working on".

We enjoyed the outside part of the zoo this week with some friends.  Here we are watching the bear.
After the walk around the exhibits we stopped at the amphitheater to let the kids enjoy running around in the sun.  I think it was Peanut's favorite part.  Here he is hunting with sticks.
Sister is putting in lots of miles on those little pink Nikes and she always gets compliments on them.  Thanks Gammie!
Do a little dance with a B on your pants...that's for you Best.  Smile.
It's going to be a great Spring and I am so excited to spend another with my favorite little boy and now with this big girl walking and talking!   Her newest word is "hot".  Her parents may drink a lot of coffee.... Have a great week friends and family!
