Deep in the Heart (Part One)

Peanut and I were so happy to get to make a little trip down south this month to visit Grandma and Grandpa.  We planned on arriving around 8pm, but due to a medical emergency mid-flight (not us thankfully), our plane didn't arrive until after 10pm!  Peanut took it all in stride as usual though and he made himself right at home as soon as we got "home".  Thankfully after hugs and kisses that night he went right to sleep and was up ready to play the next morning.
Grandma Sharon and Peanut share a book.  Grandma makes a trip to the library before we come and stocks up on whatever is Peanuts favorite topic at the moment.  We are on hippo's currently.
She also made Peanut pancakes with fresh strawberries, Yum!
Grandpa Chuck is the creative type and thought maybe Peanut would feel at home in a sled... a Texas sled...

It didn't exactly fly down the hill, but with a little help Peanut had a good ride and he was quite pleased, which is the point.  Thanks Dad!

Hunting Ducks.
He loves to feed the ducks and there are so many at this park close to Mom and Dad's place.
There are also three play areas at this particular park!

Our next activity was so fun and once again I appreciate my parents so much for thinking of things close to home that are perfect activities for Peanut's age and interest.  Here he is at the small airport nearby.
It was so nice.  We were the only ones on the patio and enjoyed lunch while we watched the planes take off.

And finally, this last pic I just snapped with my phone to send to Best because I thought Peanut looked so cute in his crib reading.  Once again he did so well in his new surroundings.  He slept and napped well and woke up asking for "Grandpa Chuck"...(he knows my dad gets up early).  And speaking of Grandpa Chuck, a special thanks for letting us take over your office!  I think Peanut might have pushed a button or two...smile.
Hope you are having a great week friends and family.
